Our new 12-Mile Ride is a great route for all cycling experience levels with short mileage, a low elevation climb, while offering MANY fun & memorable experiences along the way!
The 12-Mile is a scenic ride that extends the Guardians City Loop urban ride further west to Edgewater Park along Lake Erie and loops back to downtown Cleveland. It not only showcases Cleveland’s historic Playhouse Theater district, iconic bridges, and a ride around Progressive Field (& ice cream!), it offers a unique opportunity to ride on bike & park trails along Edgewater Park & Wendy Park on Whisky Island with spectacular views of Lake Erie and the Cleveland Skyline.
You’ll find an iconic Cleveland script sign with a scenic backdrop of downtown Cleveland at Edgewater Park.
We’ll have a Volunteer posted at the Cleveland script sign to assist with photos, so you don’t have to maneuver your own selfie. Grab who you’re riding with or just you with your bike and strike a pose. Then share your photo on your social channels and remember to tag #VeloSano, #BiketoCure!
You’ll ride the 500-foot-long Wendy Park bridge that extends over the Norfolk-Southern railroad tracks and links you from the lakefront parks to downtown Cleveland.
Cowbells, cheers and festivities will greet you as you end your ride at Mall B in downtown Cleveland, right where you started.
What are you waiting for? Sign up today and join in the 12-Mile Ride Bike to Cure fun, September 7!
