"Living Hope"

In 2017,It felt like there was something in my eye, in the mirror it was obvious that the fleshy object didn't belong. Turns out it was a lymphoma tumor. Biopsy results came back on my birthday. Frightening experience wondering if I would be able to see when it was all done. 12 rounds of radiation. Lost my eyelashes and eyebrows over that eye. The eyebrow never grew back well. 2018 declared cancer free. The eye recessed due to the radiation, mostly obvious if you know about it. In 2021 needed to have cataract surgery in that eye due to the radiation trauma. I have hit my 5 year mark and am happy to be a virtual fundraiser and volunteer for VeloSano in hopes the donations can help make it easier on the next patient.
